How To Use Facebook Messenger Without Facebook Account

Facebook Messenger can finally be used without Facebook account again, because now we can login using your mobile number and chat with friends who have a Facebook account.

If previously this feature can only be enjoyed by users from the United States, now logged into Messenger using phone number can be done by all users around the world.

This feature is quite interesting because we can chat with friends on Facebook without having to create an account up first though it does have some limitations.

How To Login To The Android Messenger App With Phone Number

First of all, if you are already logged in with your Facebook account then first exit the Messenger app then open it again, and select NOT ON FACEBOOK then input your active mobile number and select Continue, then check the incoming SMS which contains the verification code then input the code in the column provided.

After successfully logging in you can sync (read contacts from phone) and if in contact there is phone number of person having a Facebook account it will automatically appear in Chat.

To add a friend, you can invite and then input the phone number of the person, but unfortunately this feature will work if the person you invite set the number of phone in his Facebook account can be seen by friends or public whereas if set only seen by the account owner (Only Me ) then you can not chat with that person unless he first invites you.

In conclusion, logging in to Messenger with an phone number without a Facebook account can indeed be an alternative for those who want to use the FB Mesengger app without creating a Facebook account first but this feature can only show people who are in contact with mobile phones and manage their phone numbers publicly/every one.
